Fat Fast: Day 2

Hi everyone,

It’s Day 2 of my Fat Fast, and I am definitely feeling pretty hungry.  Last night, it literally took all the willpower in my body not to eat one of the delicious pimento cheese, bacon, and egg English muffins that Milo made!  But I resisted temptation, and here I am on Day 2.  I made the mistake of weighing last night before I went to bed, and I was a half a pound up, which was discouraging.  I think that it was primarily fluid from all the water and broth I consumed yesterday. This morning when I weighed in, I was exactly 2lb down from my weight last night, and 1.4lb down from where I started yesterday morning.  I will keep you posted on my overall weight loss at the end of this fat fast.

7:54am- Fat-fast friendly coffee, with 1 t grassfed butter (Kerrygold), 1T extra virgin coconut oil, 2 packets of Truvia, and a splash of vanilla.  A quick blend in my Ninja, and my frothy, high-fat coffee was ready to go!

9:40am- I am feeling tired and hungry.  I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night or if it is directly related to the lack of carbohydrates I am consuming.

11:39am- (4) slices of bacon, (2) T jalapeno cream cheese, and a little yellow mustard.  I’m already tired of cream cheese!  Right now, I am eating simply to fuel my body.  No headache today though.

12:01pm- I am feeling pretty full, the bacon and cream cheese definitely quelled my hunger.

12:24pm- Fast fast fullness doesn’t last!  It’s only been an hour, and I am getting hungry again.  Time for a little snack of peanut butter and Truvia.  I love the Jiff Natural PP To-Go cups, because they are pre-portioned, and I can’t overindulge.  Compared to cream cheese, this is divine!

8:35pm- After a long day at work and a doctor’s appointment for Milo, I am definitely ready to grub down!  Dinner tonight is (14) jalapeño pepperonis, (1) Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp White Cheddar stick, 1T of my oh-so-yummy sour cream dip (Stay tuned for the recipe!), and 1T of dill pickle relish.

8:51pm- I am officially full!  Not saying I’m not going to eat a little whipped cream before bed (I have a few calories to spare and need to get my daily fat percentage up a few points), but I am surprised how full I feel after my mini meal.  This is getting easier!

10:02pm- (16) T of sugar-free whipped cream.  YUM!
