I must be a Mermaid….

Hi everyone!  It’s Thursday evening and the official countdown is on for the weekend.  YAY!  This week has been such a whirlwind at work and I am thrilled that my favorite time–Friday night–is almost here. ?

I haven’t shared an art journal post in a while, and this week I have been particularly inspired by one of my favorite quotes by Anais Nin: “I must be a mermaid.  I have no fear of depths, and a great fear of shallow living.”  Take from it what you will, but these simple pearls of wisdom have been resonating in my mind all week as they did when I put this art journal entry together a few months ago….
Mermaid

I don’t know about you, but some days I just want to dive into the ocean and swim off on an adventure with Flounder and Sebastian, leaving behind all the stresses and worries of everyday life.  I’d love to hear you weigh in on your week and if you’re a mermaid too, so feel free to comment below!

    Hello Casey,
Nothing screams smiles and laughter better than the weekend! Full of birds chirping, eggs sizzling on the stove and new songs being written. I absolutely adore these pages; full of mystery and adventure along with such picturesque. The depths of the world can lead to so many enjoyable journeys and knowledge that could assist in the positive vibes that your blog excels in portraying. It is only in the shallow ends of life that people can find themselves relinquishing their true potential and giving up on their dreams. It is like Sebastian says, “you got your own style, now let it come through. And remember no matter what, you got to be you.”
Thank you for sharing and I hope that your weekend is full of laughter and adventure!
